Baby Tyler has arrived!

Our sweet little Tyler arrived October 5th, 2009 at 6:50pm. He weighed in at 8lbs 7oz and is 20 inches long. My labor was less than ideal since my epidural tubing came out of my back and no one knew for several hours, but they got a new one put in just before it was time to push, so the delivery was simple. Kenzie and Cierra were both able to be in the delivery room with us, which was neat. When they broke my water, they said that I had 1-2 gallons of amniotic fluid, so that's why I looked like I was carrying twins. Because of that and because of some of the things they saw on the ultrasounds, they did a few tests on Tyler just to make sure that everything was okay and it is. The hydrocele that they saw on the ultrasound is still there, but is small and shouldn't require surgery. So, overall, he got a clean bill of health. My recovery has been pretty easy physically, but emotionally it's been hard because Erick had to go back to NM when Tyler was only a few days old and we're not sure when he'll be back because money is tight.

The kids adore him, even Caden. They fight over who gets to hold him next. Tyler is pretty much the sweetest little baby ever. He rarely cries and is so mellow. I am so grateful for an easy baby, since I'm doing this all by myself. Here are some pictures of our newest addition.

Oh, those are the sweetest pictures! Your older kids have the cutest smiles on their faces.

I know Nana is enjoying the baby, she always mentions him at the end of every e-mail and text that she sends me. I guess it is therapy for her. I'm sorry Erick can't be there with you. That is hard! Love ya tons!

So blasted cute. You do make cute babies. I miss you guys and I hate that I couldn't be there for Tyler's birth. Glad he's nice and mellow for you!

Even though I get to be around that new one, it's so fun to look at the pictures, so thanks for posting!

I feel like I've already seen these pictures.... oh, yeah, Erick showed them to me on Friday (me and anyone else who would look- he is one proud papa!)
Congrats! I love the picture of him and Caden together!
And I thought you made such beautiful girls- you're boys are just as cute!
